The Vocational Training Centre gives people who are on the autism spectrum the chance to gain work experience in a real work environment, yet also provides specialised support and encouragement to gain skills. 

The shop, gallery and office is the “hub” of The Autism Trust and the vocational & LifeSkills training we provide. 

• Bespoke work experience sessions. To gain practical work skills in a real working environment.
• Long term Supported Work Scheme. Following completion of one or more of our in-house employability courses, individuals who are not in employment can join this scheme to help retain and further hone their skills in our supportive real working environment.

These are held at the training centre in Camberley, Surrey.

The Autism Trust is also an Approved Centre to deliver ASDAN qualifications in Employability. The young people who choose this qualification avenue will be working towards this qualification alongside their work experience. See ASDAN page for more details.

Young people with an autism spectrum condition, are able to access real work and help them to gain confident in communication and employability skills, that can prepare them for employment in many office, retail, charity, IT or manufacturing and gardening jobs. Giving them a chance to feel good about themselves and be a contributor to society. We value and enhance their unique interests and abilities to progress them to their fullest potential.

We can offer development in skills for social interaction targeted at preparation for the work environment, valuable work experience and a chance to work towards a nationally recognised qualification. Please take a look at the Work Experience section in our 'Pathways' booklet for more details.
